Copyright relating to the participants’ content

A participant is a stakeholder who is in any way engaged in beekeeping activities and posts news or announces an event on www.worldbeeday.org using its online form.

Participants guarantee that the content or photographic material posted on www.worldbeeday.org is their copyright work or that they have obtained all the necessary consents from the author thereof in accordance with the Copyright and Related Rights Act for publication (including consent for broadcasting, rebroadcasting, or secondary broadcasting), making the material available to the public, public communication, public presentation, and any other type of use of the content necessary to achieve the purpose of the prize-winning competition in accordance with the rules set forth by the organiser.

Participants guarantee that the photos or videos feature themselves or persons who are familiarised with the purpose of this material.

Participants undertake not to send the following content for publication under any circumstances: content featuring persons who are not familiar with the purpose of the material in question; content that contains any other details due to which or on the basis of which the rights of any third party could be affected; content which could cause harm or which is contrary to the applicable legislation, regulations or moral standards.

Participants hereby give consent, free of charge and subject to unlimited duration, to the owner and administrator of the www.worldbeeday.org website for publication (including consent for broadcasting, rebroadcasting, or secondary broadcasting), making the material available to the public, public communication, and public presentation of photos and videos and/or parts thereof in all media within the owner’s and administrator’s domain, or for the purposes of promoting the website or in the framework of the website.

In no manner does the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Food assume any responsibility for any of the following: photo material and other user content received from participants, non-functioning of service arising from a lack of knowledge of how to use the service or from a contractual partner’s network failure, power failure, or other technical malfunctions which could temporarily hinder the use of services or lead to any unwanted consequences that participants might suffer as a result of entering their activity or content on the www.worldbeeday.org website.

In order to prevent unauthorised access to this data or the disclosure thereof, to preserve the accuracy of personal information, and to ensure the appropriate use thereof, the Ministry uses appropriate technical and organisational procedures to protect the information collected.

The Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Food may process the collected personal information in order to send notifications regarding web services, conduct surveys and carry out statistical processing of data to ascertain the use of services, notify new developments and for other marketing purposes. The Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Food undertakes not to disclose such information to third parties, unless this is necessary in relation to the above-referenced needs, to its contractors and partners. 

While data is being processed, an individual shall have the right to view, extract, copy, supplement, amend, block or delete personal information in the database in accordance with the applicable regulations. Participants can at any time request that the administrator stops using, permanently or temporarily, their personal information for direct marketing purposes within 15 days, and may do so via a contact form or in writing to the organiser’s address, i.e. Ministrstvo za kmetijstvo, gozdarstvo in prehrano/Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Food, Dunajska 22, SI-1000 Ljubljana. The Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Food reserves the right to change the general terms and conditions.
